For years I’ve been making my own toothpaste. Baking soda, salt, and peppermint extract. Occasionally I’ll use hydrogen peroxide to make it more of a paste, but that flavor can be a bit challenging. Since there is fluoride in tap water, I usually just use water to make it a paste consistency. Of course that’s a much smaller amount of fluoride than you get from a product like ACT or conventional toothpaste, but every time I go to the dentist, they comment on how good my dental hygiene is. So I love the ability to make my own from products I already have! MUCH cheaper and less things to order. Thanks for these reviews, I’m enjoying your channel. Cheers!

They use nhap now, which is a well respected fluoride alternative.

I haven't tried these yet, but will probably purchase. I've heard twice in reviews about the fluoride issue. If you feel better having fluoride to protect your teeth, you could potentially brush your teeth at night with a fluoride paste (you won't be eating and the fluoride should then stick around a little longer perhaps) and brush your teeth with these in the morning. In these days of trying to reduce waste, we would then cut our use of plastic tubes in half. Every little bit helps, and this may help bridge the gap of concern until a fluoride option becomes available. It is never all or nothing! :)

Do the refills come in glass or is it a recyclable package
