California Love Remix Outro Signal Chain (ElectroSpit Talkbox)

This week I decided to put the ElectroSpit ESX-1 to the test and cover the hardest part of the greatest talkbox performance of all time, the "California Love" Remix Outro adlibs by Roger Troutman.   I learned a ton doing it and really dialed in the signal chain you need to get the Dr. Dre / Roger sound.   I found that adding EQ boost at 4kHz on the input using my UA 6176 really took it to the next level as far as capturing the original sound.  I recorded and performed everything with the Poly Talkbox App which was another milestone. I never imagined I could play something this difficult with the phone...but here it is.

Signal chain: Shure Beta57a + Universal Audio 6176 + M-Audio M-track 2x2 + Logic Pro X + Waves R EQ+ Metaflanger Chorus + Logic Spaceverb 1.3s Medium Hall + L1 Ultra maximizer

The M-Audio is definitely the weak link in this chain, but it got the job done 💪🏾
