I have a family history of ET. My tremors were in both hands and I could not even sign my name. I did the research and decided that I didn't want the drugs and DBS was not going to be in my future. I wanted a "cure" not something that dealt with the symptoms. Its been 2 years now and my dominant hand was back to normal the morning of the procedure.
