I liked what Zoya said about Feminism, I agree 100%, feminism doesn't mean hating men!
We need more intelligent directors like Zoya and Reema!

i dont wanna use so many words to reiterate this point
ZOYA and REEMA are one of the best collabs in HIndi cinema in recent times..period! DDD was a fantastic movie that explored the nuances of OUR daily lives captured in very realistic humanistic manner..i was sitting in the cinema with my sister discussing the movie and nodding our heads in unison as some scenes played out exactly what we go through as females on a daily basis...we still cant get over it..three days after watching the movie and we r still discussing it and if i had another ticket to go watch this movie, i definitely would!!!!
standing ovation ladies: job well done and a fantastic, engaging interview from both of you..kudos to girl power!!

I loved this movie! I wish I could work for Zoya and Reema. There is so much to learn from them! Heck, I'd even be the tea boy on their sets if I could!

A little late to the party. My god what a great interview this was! Mostly for the answers Reema & Zoya gave. I couldnt stop nodding to every little thing they said. More power to such women. To the real feminists!

Those who like Zoya and Reema films have a good sense of humor. They make the films which are sensible and out of the box.
Waiting for their next.

I LOVED 'Luck by Chance' - I can see it over and over again and I also loved 'Dil Dhadakne Do' (even more than Zindagi Na milegi Dobara)

I loved their honest talk on the failure of today's mainstream reviewers to really assess a film on its worth and quality to instead go for superficial things like trade and box office. More than education on cinema like Zoya said, I think its the basic passion and interest that these guys are lacking that translates to poor reviews. They seem to not want to fully immerse themselves into the experience or the world the filmmaker is trying to create. Oh yeah, that star rating system...complete rubbish to really assess how good or bad a film is.

Great segment! I like the way all issues were addressed in a 'no holds barred' manner. I agree that film journalism is the worst, not only in bollywood, but hollywood as well. Poor writers and illiterates have colonised this medium. Regarding critics and reviews, from a while now, I had been noticing the lack of structure in the which films are reviewed. The rating system has no indication on the quality of the film. Films aren't judged in a fair manner. Also, a lot of the critics seem to undermine bollywood and don't give credit when it's due. When a good film is made, they start picking on insignificant issues rather than appreciating the film. My hope for bollywood is being fuelled by directors such as zoya akhtar and I really hope she continues making films exactly the way she does.

This was delightful to watch! Really hope we see a lot more movies from this duo. I really enjoyed Dil Dhadakne Do! Wonderfully relatable characters in a way we haven't seen on-screen before, great performances from the entire star cast, plenty of humour, important messaging and it was paced just right. It takes a lot of skill to juggle so many characters and different tracks in the film simultaneously whilst keeping the audience entertained. Splendid effort from Zoya and Reema! Bollywood needs to churn out more slice of life films which portray real people and explore human dynamics closely. And currently no one seems to do that better than Zoya and Reema.

I tell u zoya, a dysfunctional family is the biggest asset of a middle class indian family coz in the pursuit of making it functional, they stay wd each other and love each other.

And ds dysfunctionality is not coz of family members bt coz of the social milieu in which they exist.

Dil Dhadakne Do was one of the best movies I've seen. Right from when the trailer was out and it being a Zoya Akhtar movie, I just knew it would be good and it turned out to be more. I remember enjoying the film so much and it was as real as it could get because even though they were rich, I could feel it. I felt it and it happens in families. Once Anupama had asked that how do you get past so much beauty that is shown in the film to focus on the film. But I feel that you don't have to do anything coz even thought everything was beautiful, the story was so entertaining and compelling that you just have to sit back and savour everything offered to you. And as Zoya and Reema said how they were noting everything, I was too in the film. I loved the film and maybe more so because it was the story of the rich and shot on a cruise coz it was treat fory eyes too. Also, everybody did a fantastic job but Shefali mam stood out for me. The realness, effortlessness she brought compiled with the emotions, I was in love with her!

I read in a review that we won't get the Zoya of Luck by Chance back. What does that even mean? Thankful of Film Companion and Anupama Chopra for giving us an authentic, unbiased reviews of films. And yes, I loved this segment!

Love Film Companion!! Love this section with Reema and zoya! Two of the best in the industry. Good questions from Anupama. Like Anupama says more power to these wonderful women😊

Zoya said 'one lifetime is enough with Reema'. Then Reema followed with a 'same here'. Zoya mocked her delicate dog story on a public platform. They kept talking over each other, competing to have their say and Reema looked uncomfortable throughout. Simmering tensions at best or trouble in paradise or just good old marriage; who knows! Adored the bit about Delhi high-flyers having less sensitivity than stable animals. Anupama's interviews are becoming one of the best sources of filmy information if not the best in all mediums. I want more!
