I find it silly that the computer will adjust for error but is hopeless at adjusting back to normal position.
Stupid programming, gmc wants a slap with a wet fish :-D

Thanks Doc! Had this happen on 2003 Tahoe 5.3 about 5 years ago, throttle body was not that dirty but I cleaned it, wiped out the code and as of today have not had an issue with it again.

This was a refresher video for me. I have a 07 Chevrolet Trailblazer with a 4.2, & was showing both these codes P1516, & P2101; I do have a code reader that lets me know whats going on along with a Haynes repair manual to tell me what the code is. I never had the new throttle body recalibrated since the install. So I'll just take in to shop to have it done, But at least I'll go in with some know how what needs to done by the shop. Thanks for the video & the help. I did watch another video on how to install a ball joint on my Chevrolet C3500 dually, & You used the same van that your working on in this video; Again it was very helpful; Also I went ahead sub. to your channel; IMHO your the best; Thanks again.

Tim great video and thank you. Question, if you don’t have the proper scan tool, would disconnecting the battery and connecting the P+/N- terminals together also reset the Idle Fuel Trims so it will Re-learn? Just curious if that’s a work-around if you don’t have the scan tool. I know sometimes that works for relearning transmission shift points etc.

thanks for the video it really helps the world out there ! in my situation i disconect the TB connection then clean air filter MAF sensor all intake pipe and throttle body . i think the problem was The throotle body, it was full of carbon . reset codes and it got fix !!! THANKS 🙏🏼 my truck is 2007 escalade esv

Replaced a battery in a 2006 Chevy Colorado, 2.8L, 236, 000. I've done it before with no issues. This time I got a rough idle, a P2101 code and reduced power. Replaced throttle body and accelerator pedal. Reset the PCM and still have the same problem. Could the problem be the PCM or maybe a ground problem?

Hey Car Dr. - Is the Sollus Edge just a scan tool or is that a diagnostic tool also? Can do an idle learn rest with my Blue Driver scanner?

I've got an 04 Escalade That randomly goes into reduced power mode. I've replaced the throttle body and throttle body plug. When it goes into low power mode, I can shove the throttle body connector on and it will run fine for a few weeks which is what it was doing with the old throttle body. I've wiggled the lead with no change. It's also throwing P1516 and C0455 codes. Traction control is disabled too when it goes into reduced power mode. What should I be looking for?
