Probably the most wholesome part is when you mentioned the owner came in a few times just to talk to you. Besides you wanting to come back there often.😊🍜

Fold out table in a garage with a heat lamp, the vibes are immaculate

when someone makes food in a garage/their house, that's how you know its good, cheap and the people who live there enjoy it every week

Getting a teriyaki chicken sample and "sneaking " into Spencers when you were 14 is literally what every kid did at my mall, and im now 33; its long gone now. Hot Topic, FYE, Disney Store, EB Games, and the arcade with a modded version of DDR/ITG that had thousands of songs. True Rat years. Nostalgic.

Gimme the Pork bowl, that sounds godlike.

I love when my pork bowl has a dramatic origins story.

He should really host a food tour! Perfect for extra income for him, and for tourists who don’t speak the language. ❤

These kinds of places are the food experiences I treasure most. I can't say too much because of the laws where I live, but there's a couple of old grandmas from Puerto Rico who serve a lunch set and a dinner set every single day out of their own home. They live upstairs, everything is cooked upstairs and brought down to you, you don't "order" anything, they just bring you the dishes of the day served family style with plates HEAPED with delicious food you'll find nowhere else in Western New York. I don't even bother to ask what anything is anymore, I just take what I'm given, eat until I feel like I might explode, Gabe a couple of empanadas or whatever for the road, and I ALWAYS leave with a smile. We've started a little tradition with these ladies. Not only do we pay the requested amount for the meal, each of the four of us who go almost every day each drop them a $20 tip. $50 each on Christmas.

These are the best small restaurants to me. Anytime it’s ran out a house/small building. Or even a truck (trust me) the food is amazing. Probably because when you’re doing it so raw like that, it HAS to be out of genuine passion and dedication to your craft.

You unlocked the hidden Sukihana memory from the food courts. Damn

When I visit Japan and am comfortable with exploring on my own, I would love to check out mom'n'pop food stores like these. And all the bakeries.

That place is called Sakura and at my mall it is so popular the family that owned the franchise opened their own version that only serves the teriyaki chicken. They still own the Sakura. They are the two best selling food stands at the mall. Both are thriving lol

It feels like going to the families houses during holidays. That is how you know food is going to be good. 😊

The pork looked perfect, but the onions were dreamlike. Mad props to the proprietor.

I've been watching your channel so much that I pronounced "garage" in the title like it rhymed with "karaage."
