Triangulated CRINKLED Facade in Grasshopper

In this video, you'll learn how to create a dynamic and random arrangement of interconnected triangular facade panels on different planes. We'll start by building a flat triangular facade and then I'll show you how to properly align the corner normal vectors of the mesh. Next, we'll sort all of the mesh vertices based on their x, y, and z coordinates simultaneously. This will allow us to create geometry that represents the facade substructure. By following these steps, you'll be able to create a versatile and visually striking facade design.

In this extended tutorial, you will learn how to generate unique and interesting designs by creating random arrangements of triangular faces based on their distance from an attractor curve. You will have the ability to adjust the range that determines which faces will be affected, allowing you to control the degree of randomness in the final design. The faces that are displaced from their original positions will be perforated using Popular and Triangular Mapping components, adding another layer of complexity and visual interest to the design.

Hi! Thank you for this tutorial. At 9:30 how would you define vectors (1, 1, 0), (-1, 1, 0), (-1, -1, 0) and (1, -1, 0) or simpler the 45degrees vectors pointing outside the rectangle at the rectangle corners instead of the average vectors?

I'm having an issue at the "deconstruct brep" I only get one untrimmed surface as output instead of four. This messes up the triangulation.

If we want to build this in real life, how can we get measurements of each pieces' for production? Does Grasshoper help us in this situation? I never found the answer for that or my English wasn't good enough to search better. Designing this on Grasshoper becomes the easier part when we think of building it. I'd really like to know about this. This is a great channel
