from my experience with being a fashion designer by trade and entering into the tshirt sector I can agree that things can get complicated real quick when incorporating womens tshirts too much variety can make things get expensive. Fortunately enough I know my customer, although My target is Specific to women I will be using the unisex shirts because I know my type of customer appreciates a longer shirt and most of my customers are curvy women that want to minimize the exposure of their biceps. Since the unisex tees have longer sleeves it works perfect for my female clientele. Thanks for sharing your thoughts i definitely agree with you.

As a woman I prefer unisex (mens shirts), women’s shirts are usually made tighter and I like a more loose fit :))

Same here, when guys would like to place a blouse for thier girl, we let them know we only do t-shirt's.
Saves us from all the mishaps you just mentioned.

The sizing is a good point. I personally prefer men's shirt because I know if fits better on me but I had a lady ask for a v-neck because it fits her better than a crew neck. So I understand the pickiness.

What is the best... doesn't say what the best is lmao to anyone looking to find the right shirt for women, you must understand who your targeted demographic is and market from there. It's not about marketing to all women just like it's not about marketing to all men. It's about finding a niche and exploiting that niche. Nothing changes with women. I've used Smart Blanks mid weight shirts in the past and the women loved them. My wife really likes the 2001 American Apparel shirt also. Hope this helps
