V-Rally 4 Nintendo Switch Review - IS IT WORTH IT?

The folks over at Kylotonn have somehow managed to deliver V-Rally 4 on the Switch. While it took a few extra months to release, this has turned out to be a feature-for-feature port that’s exceeded my expectations.

I already took an extensive look at V-Rally 4 on PC when it first released back in September. As a result, I was pleasantly surprised when I booted up the Switch edition to find that everything remained intact.

I hope it’s just how the footage was captured but the frame rate looks terrible, it actually gives me a sense of motion sickness that early FPS’s gave me.

I have around 25+ hours on the switch version. The controls definitely take a long time to get used to, but you absolutely can get used to it even with digital throttle, and it's extremely satisfying once you do get used to it. Occasional performance issues, and occasional odd physics, but still an enjoyable experience. I recommend getting it on sale, or full price if you're really itching for a rally racer.

I got this game on some massive sale on the Nintendo e-shop. I think it was like 5 bucks or something, so I'm fairly happy haha

At least the handling is livable if you drop sensitivity right down and set deadzone to 0%

I wonder if you can remap the right analog stick to be the gas and brake. It's annoying as hell, but it's been a while that I've been trying to see how they would handle this hurdle. Why Nintendo... Why no analog trigger support.

Its very nuanced in its control once you learn the car and how to get it through cleanly its fun but i wish it had a better varity of tracks and certain disciplines had more cars like rally cross and hill climb

Rewind ruins race games it take away the tension on the last lap or corner etc, maybe 3x per race only?

Has anyone thought to use the gamecube controller for analog? I dont have the game but i do have the controllers and it registers as a pro controller so it should work.

I want to know why Crusin blast has not made it to the switch yet? You know the sequel to the cruisn USA series
