hello, sir I have a question what is the difference between two folders one is public and other is resources, both contain assets folder inside it and both have file one has index.php and other have welcome.blade.php i am very confused about these foldering

Sir I followed all your steps but in my xamp there is not option visible of rewrite but after reading some blog about rewrite engine and this syntax I found that everything is fine in my httpd.conf file but still my code didn't work when i typed sayhello. please tell me what should i do and also please help me clear this confusion that why they provided public folder if view has to be created in resource folder I watched your last video on this topic but still didn't clear my confusion.
