Those guys are lucky that didn't take off. Main shaft is bent, main and tail RPM are the same, no swash plate or pitch rods, and towards the end you can see there are no controls in the cabin either. If they were building something for kids to play in, they did a good job. As far as flying, they are not even close.

I was a helicopter mechanic in the US ARMY, it takes a lot of know how and mathematics to build a helicopter, also the dynamic balancing of everything rotating, resonance is a big factor at certain RPMs if you don’t know what you are doing, and the consequences of something like that lawn mower you built might be catastrophic resulting in a death trap.

Clearly these guys have a passion for aviation and the drive and energy to build…something. It’s too bad that the appropriate training, tools, materials and guidance are not available to them.

These are some brave men! I think it would be much cheaper and quicker to be shoved out of an airplane one hundred feet above ground level. If that doesn't prepare you for what success will bring, then just keep the camera rolling and maybe you can cover the hospital bill by selling the video to Tosh.O😂

start with some basic algebra and aritmethics, then you can you into physics, calculus; a helicopter isn't a toy, what they built is a deadly accident waiting to happen.
