Southwest Houston neighbors say they're under siege of one erratic resident

Neighbors in a southwest Houston apartment complex say they no longer feel safe because of problems with an erratic neighbor.

I remember a neighbor in the street 2 blocks away was shooting his gun in the air and playing loud music at 3am and yell8ng at people. Then one n8ght he was jumped by 6 pepple, hospitalized and moved out a week after he gpt out of the hospital. Never bothered anyone again, in that neighborhood.

I had a similar thing happen with one of my neighbors. It took about five years to resolve, during which the neighborhood was in constant fear. HPD were called out multiple times over the years, all to no avail - sometimes they would pick him up, but he'd be back home in a few weeks and the craziness would start again. Finally, a SWAT standoff ensued which wound up with the neighbor shooting at the police in the street. I think he actually shot a police officer before they shot CS gas into his house, stormed his house, and arrested him (I was surprised they did not kill him). My neighbor was mentally ill, and I suspect the individual in this ABC13 story is mentally ill too. Based on my experience, this will not end quickly, and it will not end well.

People have gotten evicted on rumors and speculations. They can’t evict him for harassing paying tenants? They have a lot of evidence. That’s crazy
