Disney PANICS, Marvel staff FIRED as they CANCEL TV shows and films!

Layoffs hit Marvel Entertainment in New York and Marvel Studios in Burbank, California. With Marvel Studios only releasing one movie this year and with it confirmed the MCU is going through a reduction, it’s learned layoffs have happened at the company.

According to the trades, Marvel Studios has laid off 15 lower-level production and development employees at Marvel Studios in Burbank as well as employees at its Marvel Entertainment division in New York.

It’s no secret Marvel has been suffering since the release of Avengers: Endgame and hasn’t had a billion dollar blockbuster amid a string of failures.

Recently saw the release of The Marvels, which massively bombed, so much so it’s the worst performing MCU movie and superhero movie of all time.

Tatiana Maslany was also asked about a She-Hulk Season 2, where she said they blew the budget with the first season and Disney said “no, thanks” to a second season.

The fact Disney is not changing direction, even with failure after failure.
It can only be argued that Disney is trying to destroy these Marvel and Star Wars on purpose.
Maybe even destroy Disney as a hole.

As long as Iger and Kennedy are still in place, then we can not trust Disney will ever change direction.

Did they fire the people responsible for changing the sex or sexual orientation of characters? If not, they fired the wrong people.
Did they fire the people associated with many flops? If not, they fired the wrong people.
Did they hire the people associated with successful movies and series, and put them in charge? If not, things will not improve.

Visited the local comic book shop today and was taken aback that he was no longer selling comic books (just collectables and baseball/trading cards)....when I asked him why he simply replied "They just do not sell, and I mean they do not sell AT ALL."
So sad.

As a fan of pop culture, I'm tapped out on Marvel, Star Wars, and anything Disney touches. The company will need to some serous overhaul to get me to enjoy these brands again.
