I’m a huge Frank Ocean fan. Always been. When Endless came out I was actually in love with it. Per usual. This song particular I thought was amazing, vocals, aesthetic, ambiance, etc. it wasn’t until last year in June this song triggered me. Reading these comments is really moving me along with the song, so I hope this helps me feel something.

The love of my life was my close friend, 10 years of friendship. We grew very close from New Years 2020 til June 2020. Since we met we were very fond of each other. It was well past lust. We cared for each other, we respected each other, we valued each other. Our most intimate moments were pure silence. This man was my soulmate. As much as we were magnetically pulled to each other, cuddling, flirting, kissing, laughing, celebrating, our friendship was important to us. We never took it there. Didn’t feel the need to. We wanted to though. In June 2020, he passed away in a horrific car accident on the scene. My life has been shattered. I’ve been picking up the pieces since.

This song, has been the first song in a very long time that has pulled at my heart strings. I’ve grown accustomed to Frank oceans way of doing that, but this one… the lyrics, the feel, the delivery. Has came directly from my heart. This gave my heart words and emotion that I will never be able to explain. The loneliness, the regret, the pain, the happiness, the love, the hesitation to love.. all of it has been put in this song. Thank you Frank Ocean 🌊 I hope you all find peace as well. I’m doing fine ✨

i used to listen to this song every. single. day. now i haven't listened to this song for like more than a week because i am so busy visiting my family, and i am so glad i now have the chance to listen to it, because i'm (finally) alone. i remember how beautiful this song is and it feels like i am listening to it for the first time again. it's such an important song to me, even though it's just frank's voice and a guitar. but it's not just that, it's about what we go through while discovering this song, or this song reminding us of something or someone we like, or miss, . i love it so much and i would never get tired of it.

This heartbreak hurts because we never dated, we were friends with blurred lines. He played me to keep me around and the whole time I thought that I had the upper hand. Hell he was so good that even our mutual friends thought he was in love . Well now i have to see him daily and I’ve never resented anyone more in my life for using me.
