LG SC9S soundbar review - feature packed but does it sound good?

This is the review of the LG SC9S 3.1.3 soundbar system that supports many popular technologies and comes with a wireless subwoofer. I’ve used this soundbar with many different TVs, including C3 OLED for which it was tailor-made. Let’s see what are my impressions after the test.

I bought this soundbar for 600 CAD considering price and my specific needs (apartment and a not so big room) it’s perfect. Thankfully my ears have not been spoiled yet to truly nitpick the sound quality. Perfect example it blew my mind when you said the sub was lacking.

Also btw when using Wow orchestra, so volume level shows properly on TV when adjusting volume? I hate that with other sound bars there is no UI for it anymore when a sound bar is used instead of TV speakers.

its not hooked up right dont use the bluetooth this is why your not getting the full sound
use the arc and then you will have it loud and powerful and you can clearly hear the back spks ....yes some are hooking them up wrong
the blue tooth is for only music from your cell phone and you need to mute alexa before when watching movies or tv she will talk

I have the lg dsc9s but I want rear speakers for it. I see multiple answers about the compatibility with spq8-s. Some say it connects, but some say it don’t. What rear speakers do I buy for the dsc9s?

I have a 55” LG OLED C3 and wanted to upgrade the audio with a sound bar. Im interested in the SC9S because it comes with a bracket to make it fit under the TV. However i have the TV on a shelf thats not very deep. Can i please have the dimensions of the entire footprint of the soundbar and the table stand it comes with? Thank you so much 👍

One call out is that I realized is that using Optical Video has limitations on number of channels supported, I don't think it can support Dolby Atmos, so it would be great to understand those nuances so people set up their cables correctly. eARC still confuses me on how to setup properly

2 hdmi. Does this mean if u connect soundbar using hdmi you don't loose taken hdmi by soundbar cos u can plug xbox to 2nd hdmi on the soundbar? Meaning soundbar works as passthrough?

Does it have Meridian sound? LG's catalogues available at stores says it has but it is nowhere mentioned on packing neither on product.

Which one should i go for lgsp8a or lgsc9s because lgsp8a is configured with meridian one and i haven't seen any of such in lgsc9s. Does meridian plays a major role in sound difference between lg sp8a vs lg sc9s
