Dolly Parton, Backwoods Barbie Cover

Oh Dolly. What an icon; a true role model! I stumbled upon a Tik Tok not too long ago of Dolly giving money to the people who lost their homes in the wildfires of the Smokies. As I watched I started crying. Dolly is one of the most purest humans and even with all of the fame she has she acted like she was just like their family. And that is what I love about her the most! I’ve asked a couple people lately, what would you do if you became famous? How would you handle it? Me, I have no clue😂 Personally I just want to share my voice with others and make music. All the money in the world means nothing once you’re dead right? I’m glad to have singers like Dolly in this world who stay true to themselves. I admire her as a musician and as a person. Not too many artists like that nowadays. Her songs are one in a million and I love singing every single one of them! I guess “Backwoods Barbie” just hits me a little different. I love when I find songs that I can just let my voice loose on and I think this is one of them. I played this song live a couple Sundays back at the farmer’s market and my ex could visually see the chills on my arms even though it was hot outside. Crazy how music does that to you!
