My grandfather was in the Royal Navy through both world wars . He kept in contact with the men he survived with, and in the mid 90s when he passed the Navy sent a party of survivors and officers to respect the old man at his funeral at a small village in southern England .

My cousin was a marine, fought in Korea, killed many many Chinese, he passed away and no one informed the marine Corp of his passing, but the day of the funeral the honor guard showed up, i asked how they knew, the said we keep track of our fellow marines !!!! Impressive !!! He was 93 yrs old

A tale to tell, my beloved Grandad, a Malaysian Chinese. Served the King and Country for 22 years, departed on 25th January 2023..

Airmen and fellow Armed Force Veterans saluted while the bugle plays.. I did my best not to shed a tear, but to give my utmost respect and appreciation for his company and service..

(My Grandad will be buried in the sea by this Tuesday.. RIP)

My father was a spec ops Korean combat vet! When he passed at age 88, he was buried with full honors at the National Cemetery at Lake Springfield, Springfield MO. Im very proud to have had him as my my dad, my father, my friend, and my hero! ❤️❤️❤️

Very honorable. Thank you for your service. My next door neighbor was serving at Pearl Harbor when it was attacked. So was his soon to be wife and her identical twin sister, both enlisted nurses. When the last of them passed away, their daughters invited me in to their house to see all three urns on their mantle before making their final trip. Last wishes were to take all three of them back to where they all met and served. The daughters spread their ashes at the USS Arizona Memorial.
