I was about to buy BTC until this Blackrock thing came up. How could anyone that considers themselves a Constitutionalist or Libertarian buy into BTC right now when there is 100% chance Blackrock will bastardize BTC. So sad. BTC is a store of value. All stores of value are instruments denominated in currency and reflect some difficulty of production. BTC’s solving by the constant increase of difficulty and power is dependent on those plus a method of storage that is secure. If a technology suddenly replaces any of those 3 factors: security, storage, production then the store of value like fire in an art gallery threatens the value.
Enter the “quibit” or quantum chip where a septillion calculations happens in moments rather than the universe of all time.
