Fall Clean Up Winterize? Higher Profit - Lawn Care
Trimming back perennial plants during fall cleanup is a great way to make more money than add more value to the customer your lawn care landscaping or horticultural business. #motivation #landscaping
Finally, I'm humbly here to teach you the methods I learned
to end the suffering and start your own dang landscaping company.

The Landscaping Employee Trap

Whether you dream of starting your own lawn care, snow removal or landscaping business. It's all a lot easier than you think.

You don't need $20,000, a big bank loan or 5 start credit.
All you need is a will to win.

With a basic understanding of even shrub trimming, tree service, horticulture, garden maintenance, arboriculture, flowers, botany, gardening or any of the above combined with a will to succeed it's all very possible.

Wow. All you Americans being amazed by this. In England this is standard weekly work in the autumn. Proves you don't know much horticulture when you prune hydrangea in November. You should leave them till after the last frost. March time.

Not sure if you do this but, if you flat rate fall clean ups, get a big tarp, rake leaves on to it and carry it to the truck, thats if you take them away? you save hours rather then using bags or buckets.. if hourly ... BAGS OR BUCKETS LOL

In my hood your looking at 15 dollers for waste disposal for one yard + 10 for gas + 60 for labor = $85. But that being said, everything is expensive. I have to charge 50 - 60 an hr per man + gas is like 1.30 per Litre!!!! So i would say is break it down for your own company, it might be more or less what you need to operate and make a profit.

Hey Keith, could you make a video on which plants get cut down or pulled during fall cleanup? Or even just list them here would be a big help for this upcoming year. Thank you sir

Thanks for the good I recently acquired a small Husqvarna backpack blower, which is something that I have not had good luck with, but anyways. It needs some work, but I hope to have it going soon and get in on the rest of the leaf clean up. If not next fall I'm hitting hard and heavy

Only way we service customers is if they sign up for full maintenance contracts.
If they don't let us do everything from mowing hedge trimming, cleanups then we're not interested.

When do you think ornamental grasses should be cut back?  This was a big conversation in a landscape group im in one Facebook.  Ive always cut them back in the fall about a foot to the ground in the fall.  People agree with me others say leave about 3 feet others say to wait until spring.

do you estimate the cubic yards of disposal, or just let them know the price per cubic yard and tell them what it totaled out to be in the end.  orrrr do you just give them a price and that final price includes the disposal of debris?
