Parents Speak on Transgender Policy at Virginia Beach School Board Meeting

The school board announced they have delayed their vote until the next formal meeting.

What about the rights of the parents that don’t want their young daughters sharing a bathroom with young BOYS with raging hormones.

If a young boy is confused about HIS gender I’m sure his hormonal impulses would be more volatile and he’d be more likely to act out on them especially under such privileged protection.

You have rights & you have a voice. I strongly suggest & encourage you to use your voice & speak your mind & opinion to your school principal & councilors also if you really want to make a huge impact, approach your city council. Write up what you want to say exactly & you're able to attend the meetings. They are open to the public & are free. You can sit in & listen to any meeting & you can also visit your city council website. They will list open meetings ahead of time & cover the topics discussed & you are able to voice your concerns. Stand up for yourself & try & gather others who feel the same way to join you. We need students to do this more instead of just accepting it. Your voice is really important to a lot of kids who feel the same way but are afraid to speak out against it. That's why they get away with doing it...Much luck to you all...

Supreme Court declared in Washington v. Glucksberg, 521 U.S. 702 (1997), that the Constitution, and specifically the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, protects the fundamental right of parents to direct the care, upbringing, and education of their children.

Further, in Pierce v. Society of Sisters, the court rules that parents have the the Constitutional right, under the Due Process Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment, to direct their children’s educational as well as moral development.
