Most entrepreneurs I know say they don't have enough time to work on the important stuff in their business.

But the reality is, that's not how time works.

A lifetime ago, a salesman at a major music store said to me - when I was looking at a piece of gear I wanted - "Will this item help you make more money as a musician?" That was a huge question, because no one had ever presented that perspective to me before.
So then, a lifetime later, you talk about the same thing in this video. Is what I'm doing with this platform (or whatever) going to make me more money?
Boom - there it is! I somehow forgot that perspective somewhere along the way. I'm pretty sure that's the #1 thing I have to work on this week. Thank you for that!

Great episode! I struggle with email. Nearly two decades in 9-5 job where constant email checking was expected has been hard to get past. If I don't check it for awhile I start to feel low key anxiety that I might be missing something important. I have to remind myself that it's my business and I make my own rules - that's been a tough adjustment, but one I need to make. And nothing makes me feel more like I'm sucking at this than seeing what my competitors are doing. Ugh. I have to choose blissful ignorance.

Happy to report I'm not guilty of those, but a version of the "'competitors" thing. I spend a lot of time researching and learning to sort of "make sure I've heard all sides of the story" or "different type of advice" or "enough" to get a complete picture. I'm in the coaching space, but I never saw other coaches as competitors (we're all different). Funny. Yet I am a research junkie and delay delivering my own content.

My biggest challenge is trying to work around family, wife and 3 kids. My own created challenge but a big one none the less and with 3 year old twins it's extremely difficult to make time maybe even impossible without passing off my wife.
Which is something I'm struggling with especially since I've came up with a plan I'm veey passionate about that I want to work on.
