When it comes to forming an NFL roster, you either want to be built to win now, or rebuilt to win in the next few years..

But some NFL franchises find themselves at a crossroads. They’re in tough spots where the team isn’t good enough to compete for a Super Bowl, but not bad enough to earn the valuable draft selections.

Looking at the long-term picture, it’s safe to say that these eight NFL franchises will soon need to begin a massive overhaul.

Definitely the New Orleans Saints need an overhaul since Drew Brees is gone. Replacing him with a retread won’t work. Not to mention that the WR Corp needs a lot of work.

I'm confused that you think the Vikes need an overhaul - given that they have just completed one? The starting O Line, TEs, RBs1-3 and WR1 have all been drafted in the first few rounds of the last 3 drafts, and the only starters on the offence over 30 are Thielen and Cousins. We have used early and mid-round picks on 3 CBs, 2 Safeties, 2 LBs, 2 DTs and 4 DEs in the last two drafts. So I'd argue that the only draft needs the Vikes have in the next 2 or 3 years are possibly a 1st round QB, a WR2, and continuing to add depth into the current transition at Safety, CB, and LB.

You guys need to improve on your research. Devlin Hodges is not even with the Steelers anymore, he's a Ram now. And difficult cap situation in 2022? They have the 2nd most cap space out of any team in the league in 2022 with over 75 M to spend (only second to the Colts 83 M). No discussion of the WRs leaving, they rarely get resigned, but Edmunds is likely staying, they just didn't pick his 5th year because they know they can get him for cheaper than that.
And this team doesn't rebuild, the recharge and that's it. We have yet to see what will become of the OL, they are good at drafting and developing them. If they get 2 or 3 long term starters (which I definitely could see happening with Kendrick Green, Kevin Dotson and Zach Banner), then they won't be in shambles. They do need a QB of the future of course.
