I consider this to be one of those 'sacred' songs that no other band should perform, because no one can touch or should touch Peter Gabriel's original. I believed this until I heard Danny Lopresto's scintillating interpretation and the stellar musicianship of HSCC. Solsbury Hill is still 'Sacred', but HSCC have earned the right. Brilliant!

I was worried that a cover would ruin the original which I have on LP since release, not a reissue. Danny, you did the song justice and you made it your own without no ill effect! Bravo!!!

It's frightening to think this song is 45 years old next month, yet its as fresh as its ever been. Fond memories of being a third year engineering student playing this on the juke box in the students bar at college. Wish I could turn back the clock, but this song does it for me.
