This is the best presentation for ending the drug war that I have seen. This conservative, religious, war drug supporter looked at the data and had real-world experience with the effects of the drug war and changed her mind. You can too. Please open your hearts and minds and support the decriminalization of all drugs.

takes a strong person to put logic and evidence ahead of emotion. most people never will.

In 200 years humanity will look back upon the war on drugs as one of the greatest scars of the past.

There are two types of people in this world. The type who wants to be left alone and the type who won't leave people alone.

I respect your openness, and as a clean parent who once struggled with drugs, we DO love our kids. It tears us apart being active as a parent

Well said, sister! I work as a therapist in a prison and see this everyday.

Thank you much for standing up for this very real issue. End the drug war and the trauma caused by it! Thank you for your change of heart and sharing it! I was so touched by this. Thank you!

Excellent presentation. Someone I cared about overcame her drug addiction but the long lasting harm imposed by treating her addiction as a criminal Justice problem eventually played a big role in her death.

The war on drugs has been a huge mistake. It will take generations to overcome all the hurt that prohibition has caused.

Thanks for sharing this story and putting in to words what I only felt.

Thank you for your testimony and walk with Christ that persuaded me to even consider if the war on drugs was a right response.

I've been clean for over two years, it was my decision, not law enforcement, which lead to this. I've been arrested for drugs, and you are correct. THANK YOU. LETS GET CONGRESSPERSON AOC on this

This brings tears to my eyes because of all of the pain and lose I've and those of my lost friends have felt. Think God I lived through it. I wanna fight for a change but how? I'm searching and will never stop till this catastrophic war has ended.

What an important message, and a wonderful role model.

All excellent points.

America's reliance on illicit drugs also outsources human suffering to those in drug producing countries (ie violence in mexican cartel regions, forced/unsafe labor in amazon coca production areas). Furthermore, our absurd and draconian laws contribute to widespread ecological destruction in these areas of production.

Thank you for discussing the war on drugs. You have many great points. Sometimes I feel as if it is often glossed over, but it is a critically important topic.

I used to support criminalizing users when I was in Highschool and middle school, however, philosophy on ethics and the evidence from the harm from criminalization changed my view of what government ought to, or ought not to do.
