What Happened to Felicette in Space? *First Cat in Space*

Felicette was a normal street cat purchased by France govt for their space mission. Electrodes were attached directly to her brain to study neurological activity during flight. She passed all the required tests for flight.

So they decided to launch her into space. In 1963, France launched Felicette into space. Her flight reached 157 kilometers height and she became first cat to enter space.

I literally cried. That was so cruel to purposely kill her. Poor kitty endured so much going to space and back yet the scientists had the absolute audacity to kill her for the sake of the experiment :(

What's worst is that Felicette was a stray. She knew what freedom was. She wasn't a kitten raised in a lab (which is still evil). She was know by people who pet her, fed her, watered her and she could roam where she wanted. To end up kidnapped, tortured, murdered and then mutilated. Sickening to the lowest order.

This made me cry because I used to own a cat, but he died. And just the fact that they put Felicette through all those experiments, just to kill her makes it even worse.

My cat screams the whole journey when he has to travel 30 minutes to the vet, can you imagine what this cat was going through?
You could see it knew something bad was going to happen and it was asking for help the entire time.

Poor, poor heavenly kitten. It must have been terrifying for her sacred soul. I hope she is resting well. It is ridiculous that it took her 54 years to get her deserved memorial. Rest in paradise.sweet baby.
