Thanks for your efforts. I'm from the west coast and have lived inland. I've noticed that in general, people who live inland are not as aware of problems on the coasts, even though they may be well known. There's a huge difference between living with it every day and only reading about it in a textbook. There needs to be more education about what's happening with our oceans and coasts, estuaries and the like, and how they effect everybody regardless of where they live. Friendly suggestion - this may seem a little goofy, but what about doing special halftime shows at football games that showcase and educate people about critical things like what's happening to our oceans? You could reach a lot of people, and focus on, include and enlighten those important inland areas? Just a thought - wishing you good luck. The help is needed.

Thanks again Senator Whitehouse for giving serious attention to the current and upcoming impacts of sea level encroachment on coastal communities. There should be discussion about relocation financial assistance for at risk coastal communities. It will cost less to embrace that now, before more people lose their homes and community infrastructure.

This gentleman, Mr. Bhatt, sounds like he has had some experience with other communities, and should be confirmed to the Department of Transportation as Administrator. I'm sure he and Mayor Pete, (Secretary of Transportation) would work well together. Using recyclable materials in composites, is a definite advantage to the environment and durability.

I've been wondering about rising sea level as the poles melt. No real reports on this. All around the world this should be reported. Why not desalinate and refill ancient reservoirs with
fresh water to begin greening the dry lands? this if done should decrease sea level rising. The tech is available to produce in scale just as available on aircraft carriers.

To sell a costal house or buy a house you need morgage insurance. With a predicted permanent flood in the next 20 years means those houses can not get financed.
