the nostalgia is REAL, also we did updated the formula of the shadows to blend easier and last longer

The jobs you hate thing is so relatable ! I used to work as a bar tender, waitress and in retail management and they all pretty much sucked. Lol I work in psychiatry now which I love but it can have sad moments. I can imagine that working in health insurance was so hard because of all the issues people have. Your empathy makes me love you even more! Hope you are doing well.❤

This makes me so nostalgic because of my daughter! She passed away 6 years ago at 22 yo. She loved this palette and wore it all of the time! I learned about UD because of her. I even have a picture of my youngest daughter playing with her big sister’s Naked palette. They were 19 years apart, so the youngest only has a few memories like this of her sister from photos. I cherish them all.

I remember when I was in retail and having to work nights, holidays and weekends. I would see the people who were off those days walking around and shopping. I told myself if I ever get a M-F job I’m going to take care of it and cherish that time off. Well I did find that job and it’s been 26 years and I’m still here. And I’m just so grateful to have it. Hope you and your family are doing well. TTYL 😊❤️💄

I wore make-up since high school, but I got really into it around 2015 and I feel like my taste in makeup is stuck in that era! This type of video is really appreciated 😊

I never really wore makeup throughout my life (other than some mascara and maybe blush). Then, after my divorce, when I was 38 or 39 (7 or 8 years ago), I discovered YouTube tutorials and now I'm hooked!! My friends and family joke that I have more makeup than a Sephora or Ulta store 🤣 I've seriously scaled back a lot though and sold most of my unused makeup on Mercari. These kind of videos just make me happy Andréa! Thank you!

Formulas have come SUCH a long way. Becca highlighter, Naked palette (and Vice and Born to Run), BTW concealer were my FAVS back in 2017 but they don't hold up against 2020s technology. Same for these dated looks, but it was fun to watch and reminisce!! IMO

I missed the boat when it originally came out so I was happy to see the relaunch, but now that I see it again I realize that I wouldn’t use most of the shades. It looks beautiful on you!

I never owed the original Naked palette but I definetly think I'll try this relaunched version.

Ooooohhhh love the final look! I NEVER had the OG naked palette but seeing it in action here, I may need to get my hands on it.

I love it when content creators throw a bit about themselves into videos. Sometimes, I can zone out while watching, but something personal always draws me back in! I cry about health care too! Mostly about how much of my paycheck goes towards health insurance, but how little it actually covers! It makes me nauseous each time I see that deduction on my paystub while having to then also shell out more from that same paycheck for a healthcare bill! :(

I repurchased this pallet and am enjoying it immensely. Im 37 years old right now, and super shimmery shimmers just don't look the greatest on my eyelids! I also work at a place that isn't really conducive to a full glam look on my eyes! But I used this pallet the other day... chefs kiss. I loved it so much. Very pretty shimmers. Mattes blended so easily. I am pleased with this purchase. My favorite grungy pallet is the ABH Rose Metals pallet. I love that pallet as well. It's so pretty.

Hi Andrea! I’ve never had this pallet but now I’m thinking about getting it.
Love when you talk about your baby and how maternity has changed you. Good bless you and your family. 🙏🏻

This video was so soothing to watch! I love the fact that you were a bit nostalgic about the Naked palette plus all you shared through the video. You genuinely seem happy and it felt like a safe haven you invited me in.
Also love the look you did and I feel like playing with my make up today, thanks to you! ❤

I've been into watching beauty youtube since around 2011 but never wore makeup every day (I mean except for 7th/8th grade lol). I leaned on the videos during rough times and to this day it is basically a daily way to unwind/escape. I even rewatch the same video multiple times a week. I don't care. It's just my security blanket I guess. I'm very grateful for these creators that I feel so connected to over time! Like I watched Kelly Gooch well before her move to NY, I watched Emily Noel before she had ANY kids! Anyway, thanks for doing what you do, Andrea! 💖

I’ve worked a lot of jobs in my life, too many to count tbh, but the job I have right now in working with kiddos and psychology is probably the best I’ve ever had. It has times that stress me out and hurt my heart, but overall it makes me so fulfilled. Your empathy dealing with the health insurance industry and crying about what it was doing to you makes you who you are and it makes you human, never apologize for that. Beauty is also deeply personal. All of us who enjoy makeup, men and women, pick things and people to emulate because it fits us. You do something that helps us in that it settles our mind, gives us something to watch we enjoy, and informs us on products we may be curious about. All of this to say, you are who you are and I’m happy to watch you because of that reason.

I really didnt wear much makeup. I really started at age 57! I found you tube videos and makeup videos. I learned so much and i really got into makeup! My mom actually taught cosmetology...when went to see her, she turned my face all around and i was so nervous! She finally said you did a great job i couldnt of done your makeup any better! So thank you for talking and showing how to do makeup

I don't get very nostalgic either! Sometimes it actually frustrates me when people fixate on nostalgia, because I want to be more present and hopeful about my future and I'm afraid I'm going to be influenced to dwell on the past too much. I never want to feel like I've already experienced the happiest or best times of my life. I want to be grateful for every moment, and I want to believe that it is a privilege to be alive - I'm not always happy, especially lately, and my life is far from what I want it to be, but I still fight to feel grateful for the present moment and all the possibilities for the future.

Makes me so happy to hear updates about the kiddos! Little ones really remind us to be curious and thoughtful about our lives 😂

Gorgeous look, I think this is one of the best eye looks I have seen from the UD release! Great video, I enjoyed seeing all of the makeup that still performs well in 2024.
