Bangsamoro in Transition: A Midterm Review | Legal/Political Track

The Bangsamoro Transition Authority (BTA), the body tasked to govern the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) until June 30, 2022, is halfway through in its three-year administration. What has it accomplished under Republic Act 11054, the enabling law of the 2014 peace agreement (Comprehensive Agreement on the Bangsamoro)? What has it failed to do and why?

For the first episode of the Bangsamoro in Transition series, we will discuss what the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) has done in the first half and what it has yet to do in the remaining half of the transition period until June 30, 2020. The first session will delve on the Legal/Political Track

The Mindanao Peoples Caucus, which conducted the review from August to September 2020, will share the team’s findings.
