[CS316] Lecture 3: From Machine Learning to Deep Learning

In the lecture of my Introduction to AI and Data Science course, we explored the evolution of learning systems, focusing on the profound impact of machine learning and deep learning. We presented how neural networks have revolutionized the field over the years, primarily driven by computing power and storage capabilities advances.

One of the key takeaways was the transformative role of neural networks in transitioning from manual feature extraction to automated feature extraction. This shift has not only enhanced the efficiency of model training but also significantly improved the accuracy and adaptability of learning systems across various applications.
