"Depression is living in a body that fights to survive, with a mind that tries to die."

Letting people around you know, doesn't help either. They'll just call you crazy and will distance yourself from you.

I have an amazing story. One day I was driving home, when all of a sudden the Lord came to me in spirit. I felt very close to Him. I knew if I asked him to play any song on the radio he would, I guess to bless my faith.
So I said "ok, Lord play "Come as you are".
I turned on the radio and the song started playing right there on the spot, perfectly…
I started getting flooded with chills like a waterfall, crying, and trembling.
He stayed with me for 10 minutes in my driveway. until I got outta the car.

A couple months after that I started getting amazing prayers answered way more often, because it helped me quit doubting when I pray and I was lined up with biblical instructions. It's 7 years later and I still get answered prayers in Jesus name.

People love to say "I wish I knew...i would have done something" ... they're just saying what you're supposed to say when someone takes their life. They probably unknowingly played a part in your demise.

I don't think the people around me will be better off. I know they'll be devastated. But you get to this dark dark place of constant pain where every moment is agony, and you just want that pain to STOP. I don't want to die, I want to live, but not like this. And when you have fought it for years you are just exhausted, absolutely and utterly exhausted.

This is the guy "everyone" hates and they call him things like heartless, hater, bigoted, he's just an honest guy that cares, he doesn't care what people think of him but cares for other people.

I told my friends and family. It was met with either complete silence or them changing the topic.

I was struggling and homeless through covid and went to the hospital for help In Ontario, Canada.
The doctor told me if I killed myself, it was on me, and when they found out I had no fixed address, they made me leave. The help isn't there in society anymore!

Let people know is the biggest one. My cousin killed himself recently, and the first thing everyone said, was 'i wish i knew, i would have helped. "

I work for a little while at a psychiatric hospital and I met people who were profoundly suicidal and if you take the time to understand their motivation and intervene it's possible to save lives

Im telling you i worked as a night shift security and one night i saw this big guy approaching the edge of an open parking lot in front of our building.
I immediately started shouting to him not to do it and other things as well. I called the police right away (the lady confused the address and they arrived there 5 minutes later). Long story short, he leaned on the edge for about 40s and jumped.
I ran there and did cpr until the cops arrived and they did their thing.

This was a huge 25 year old kid...he nearly got hit by a truck as he fell, this was about 3am. The truck driver has had ptsd ever since, he later told the kids family, i went to his funeral (his sister came to my work nearly 1 week later, otherwise id known nothing)...

He lived for another 2 months or so and then he passed.. at his funeral there must have been 100 people there and we were all really moved...including me.
It showed me his life mattered much more than he thought it did.. i think about him everytime i pass that place...rip Kieren Jay

Tell someone but nobody really listens. It'll be beneficial for them with me gone.

If u go to the hospital youll be labeled mentally ill and it will affect what jobs u can get in the future. You wont have the same rights. U wont be able to buy a gun etc etc. yea it may help u at that time but when ur life gets better and u want to do certain things its gonna always be on record

What I used to somewhat say when I thought my life was stupid: I’m tired of living for the sake of doing things to please other people which are things I hate doing such as exist!

What I thought people tried to tell me when they didn’t want me dead: Too bad!

I've gone to the ER a few times when it was something that was actually going on. I've been told They are sending me home because it wasn't bad enough and the hospital wasn't a homeless shelter. What they didn’t realize was I walked 8 miles away from home before getting hit by a car that ran. I got up and walked 8 miles miles more to ask for help. When the psychiatrist said I was okay enough to leave, I told him okay, but next time I come back, he can resuscitate me or pronounce me his choice.

When we are on the edge we should look to Jesus to give us His mindset.

Without knowing your name or gender or your problem or your feelings. He simply said to WAIT. ✋ Extremely powerful advice when you think about it.
