Tom Clancy's The Division is an online-only action role-playing video game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft, with assistance from Red Storm Entertainment and Ubisoft Annecy, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It was announced during Ubisoft's E3 2013 press conference, and was released worldwide on 8 March 2016. It is set in a near future New York City in the aftermath of a smallpox pandemic; the player, who is a Special Agent of the eponymous Strategic Homeland Division, commonly referred to as simply "The Division", is tasked with helping the group rebuild its operations in Manhattan, investigate the nature of the outbreak, and combating criminal activity in its wake. The Division is structured with elements of role-playing games, as well as collaborative and player versus player online multiplayer.

The game received generally positive reviews, and was a commercial success, with Ubisoft stating that the game broke the company's record for highest number of first-day sales. Furthermore, one week after the game's release, Ubisoft stated that The Division was the company's best-selling game, and the industry's biggest first-week launch for a new game franchise, which generated an estimated amount of $330 million globally.

My concern is end game grinding, it obviously being reduced. However, as long as there is some sort of randomization for gear stats/talents this should be fine.

This morning I had an Idea of the what the I thought twist could (interesting) be once you reach end game. What if you can make the choice to become a full fledge HUNTER?!! This could satisfy those who just want to hunt people down. You could also go Rogue or remain an agent. This could be a part of you decision as you reach end game. I think it could fit nicely since they say it is more story driven this time. Just a thought!

New intro! Check you out. Cool AF Bro.
Not sure I'm down with changes to weapon mods. I had VX's for AR's and separate VX's for sniper's with different rolls. Not sure one size will fit all. Seems a bit dumbed down so far.

I'm pretty sure there will be random perks at the Legendary attachment levels and above.
Anything below legendary should not be capable of a "God Roll" it lessens the value of the Legendary and above level's god roll.
From a developer's POV it would allow a team to focus primarily on fewer attachment levels, 1. Reducing time of development 2. Increasing focus during development 3. Reduces the probability of a potential exploitation.
Just my thought.

Yeah I agree if all the mods are the same it’ll take a lot of the grinding away and that’s not good for the long term health of the game

Want to find God rolled items or being able to mid-max weapon mods to God roll.

Im starting to see GR Wildlands features being adapted to The Divisions formula. Lets hope more RPG elements come about or I can see a major player shift when this drops.

Like the new mods and how they work with a pro and a con. I know this is just the demo and they haven’t finalize anything yet, but I think mods should be more realistic like all grips should have stability, lasers have accuracy, small scopes have more handling, but decreased optimal range and all high powered scopes have optimal range. I would like to see dual mags which increase reload speed and AP rounds which increase weapon damage, but decreases mag size.

If the mods do go that way, it'll suit the more casual players better. There will be less of a divide between them and the hard-core elite, which we can only hope will keep more players playing.
I'm not too worried that it will ruin the end game. If the division 1 has shown us anything it's that the teams behind it are more then happy to keep adding content and improvements.
Role on March.

I think the new mod system is good. I think it'll help with the brand sets. On your next video for div 2 could you explain the weapon drop off chart please? Thank you.

Personally I’ve never like the weapon mod system in Division 1. It’s always been messy and hard to organise so I prefer it being unlockables. It’s also extremely easy to get the mods you’re looking for, for the most part, so for me it was never the mod grinding that kept me playing the game. It was mainly the gear sets and weapons.
I just hope we have more gear varieties, more sets, more weapons (and I hope the stats and talents are still random) and a deeper manageable system for the specialisation and hopefully it’s not a “unlock those specialisation talents” then you’re done. I want the gear sets and gear mods to affect our special weapons. We don’t know anything about gear modding so I’ll just and see what they have in store

The weapon mods system is way better as far as cleaning up the inventory and really good that you can use 1 mod on every gun...now SOME of the stats are kinda trash like why would I want 20%optimal range but 15% LESS crit damage 😂, I know it's just a demo version right now so I really hope they make these numbers more trade worthy just because mods need a trade off doesn't mean that trade off should be more punishing than the buff you get, instead if I'm going to lose 15 % CRIT DAMAGE I damn sure want more than 20% optimal range should be more like 60%

I see more Wildlands and less Division.
More shooter and less rpg.
So weapon mods are oversimplified. No grinding no crafting for the best weapon mod that suits the weapon and the role.
And there are no gear set mods so far.
And no skills really. Only a seeker and a flying turret.
And one type of grenade.
So 1-29 is only a shooter. Ok so far.
And on level 30 (endgame) you get an extra weapon and not an ulti that affects the whole team.
And also so far no health stations, no pulse, no defibrillator, no booster shot, no dragon breath, no sticky, no seekers (as we knew them).
The weapon talents are simplified damage only talents.
Where are the talents that synergize with the build and the skills ?
Are there going to be gear sets ?
I know we have seen very little of the game so far, and I do not know about you but I am worried guys.

all mods should be the same, no reason to RNG mods, was always stupid in TD1. As for the alarmists saying it will take away the grind are forgetting that mods may have green, blue, purple, gold and exotic versions in TD2. There is a reason build videos rarely focus on the mods other than preference.
