When a child has not had an example of paternal acceptance and affection, it distorts the judgment in adulthood. You grow up and develop these false, self defeating, self degrading concepts of what love is. If you find yourself in a false, toxic concept of love it is because:

1. It's a trauma bond and occurs as a result of ongoing cycles of abuse.
2. Fear of individuality, or the fear of being alone, or the fear of not fitting in.
***We are conditioned as small children to be joined to someone before we ever figure out who we are***
3. Attachment to the familiar. You've been engaged so long, it's become a habit.
***When dysfunction has been the only norm, perceived alternatives are difficult ***
4. You have a soul-tie.
***Soul-tie is a spiritual, demonic attachment to another person that allows that person through sexual relations to reach into your spirit and steer your life***

Love does not manipulate and control. Love does not move you into a direction that is unhealthy for you. Love does not move you in to a direction that goes against your spiritual and biblical principles.
