They reconciled LONG before Kobe passed. They became close again and did an hour long interview together which is so worth the watch. RIP Mamba 🙏🫡

Being from Philadelphia, I watch Kobe in high school watch him his whole career when he passed away. I felt like I lost a family member still today. I still shed tears watching highlights of him.😢

Two very unique talents who proved themselves together and separately. God bless them both as humans and also for all of the incredible memories they left behind.

It brings me great joy knowing that Kobe and Shaq had mended things before he left.

I'm forever thankful that Shaq & Kobe had a chance to sit down for that conversation.🙏

Man. The very first full NBA series i watched was in 2000. Been a fan ever since. Love kobe. Love shaq. Played basketball for almost 20 years thanks to them. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤

One of the great NBA stories. Teammates, rivals, then teammates again at the all star game. Brought me to tears seeing Shaq in tears. If someone like me, a kid who grew up in London playing NBA games, and got to see Kobe live once, hit 30 against the Wizards, was so heartbroken for 4 days after Kobes death, i couldnt possibly imagine Shaqs heartbreak.

Kobe used to talk to Shaq's son. Even before he died

I'm a life long Kings fan and hated the Lakers and Kobe but the morning the breaking news hit about what happened my heart sank. My wife and I were in shock and saddened that day. Especially after hearing that his daughter was with him and he was doing the funnest things in life today and that was being a coach and hanging with your kids. RIP to Kobe and his daughter and everyone involved. Respect from the 916

Having been a Laker’s fan since the 80’s, that lob in the Portland game is one of my favorite sporting memories of all time. RIP Kobe.

I honestly can't understand how anyone can look back at what happened and come to any other conclusion than Shaq half-assed his whole career and held himself and his team back from what he/they could have been. Shaq was so great that even a partial effort from him was top-tier, but imagine how much better he could have been if he actually tried hard.

If Shaq had 1 ounce of the drive that Kobe had he would have been the greatest big man in the history of the sport. There will never be another Kobe. RIP Mamba, you are sorely missed.
