Do you always throw coffee grounds in the trash? - Here I show you why you shouldn't!

If you drink coffee regularly you also always have the coffee grounds left over. But what do you do with them? Most people just throw their coffee grounds in the trash can. But why you should not do that in any case, I show you in this video.

Because coffee grounds are suitable for an incredible number of things, which are certainly not known to you.

1. if you have cut onions or garlic, your hands always smell very unpleasant afterwards. You can simply rub your hands with some coffee grounds and the smell will disappear.

2. if you have burnt food in the pot? put a small amount of hot water in the pot and add some coffee grounds. So you get your pot and the burnt places really clean again.

3. you have stinky shoes? Put some coffee grounds in your shoe and leave it overnight in your shoe. The next morning get out everything and your shoes no longer stink.

Do you have ants in your garden or on your terrace? Then scatter coffee grounds where the ants appear. Ants do not like this smell at all and will look for another place to stay.

5. coffee grounds can also do something against unpleasant odors in your car. Put a bowl of coffee grounds in your car overnight. The next morning the unpleasant smells will be history.

7. you can also use coffee grounds as fertilizer. Mix 1 liter of water with 2-3 teaspoons of old coffee grounds. Mix everything and you can water your plants with it. Slugs and snails will also be discouraged from going to your plants, as they don't like the smell at all.

8. also mosquitoes or wasps do not like coffee grounds at all. Let coffee grounds dry completely. Then fill it into a small bowl. Place it where you will be outside. Now you can set fire to the coffee grounds, which will cause them to glow and slowly burn down. The smell it creates will keep mosquitoes and wasps away from you.

1 more use for coffee. Not grounds, but beans. Here in Spain, possibly in other countries too, in perfume shops, they put coffee beans into stylish metalic cand with lids that have holes in them. Why? Because when you are smelling different perfumes to see which one you prefer, after smelling 2-3 or 4, your sense of smell starts to fail, and all perfumes / colognes start to smell the same. So after you smell maybe 2 colognes, pick up one of these small canisters, inhale the smell of coffee (it erases the smell of perfumes you smelled before, and smell another 2 or 3. Then, back to the se t of coffee. That way your brain can distinguish and remember the perfumes you smelled before, and can smell as many bottles of perfume as you wish, and that way, determine which scent you prefer. In my case I love going buying perfume, and might smell 5 to 12 scents before I decide on the one I'll buy.

About coffee grounds and the eyes, it is true that caffeine works wonders on bags around your eyes. But I would never apply them directly on my eyelids for that, I'd make coffee with paper filters, squeeze them well do they don't drip and only then, when I knew no liquid or grounds could get into my eyes, I'd put the closed filters with coffee in them under my eyes. Many skincare products do use caffeine. Or even teabags.
