Thank you! I have suffered from this 24/7 for 21 years. I'm 48 now and thought I would be cured years ago. I always assume people think I am faking it.

I also like to think we humans are pretty clever and will solve for those conditions as well as finding a root cause.

What if the people that fell pain when touched have a condition related to trauma and all the others have something else that is explained with current medical knowledge.

I am finding that this is a common opinion among people that believe that the patients are not lying about the pain. I don’t think there are many people denying that people feel the pain. You are arguing against some small majority that maybe doesn’t exist. I think there is sizable group of people that the diagnosis of fibromyalgia is not helpful but they are not saying that the people don’t feel the pain. I think you are just making accusations without understanding what is behind the push back of the fibromyalgia diagnosis. Look into it.
