Seriously? Who with any kind of diplomatic experience and even the slightest respect for world relations would want a Secretary of State, who was for boycotting Israel or any other country? At that level, boycotting means leaving urself and ur country blind. Whether u like it or not, its necessary to maintain connections and lines of communication with every1 including Israel, even including the Mugabes and Pinochets of the world.
U can be for working on getting Israel, as an example, to respect human rights, to work for a proper solution with the Palestinians (not the Jared bs) etc, but above all, it is the ultimate duty of the diplomat to be able to talk to them, whoever they are.
Any1, who gets pissed about a head of state and/or a top diplomat being against boycotting any other country/head of state, clearly has no idea, what those positions entail. But then thats 1 of the biggest problems for u Americans the last 4 years, u really have no friggin idea, just how utterly insulting, how utterly disgusting Trumps and Pompeos behaviors have been to the rest of us. How completely antithetical to diplomatic behavior, with the result that u guys have ended up being excluded from almost everything. Boycotting only means, u get zero influence, cancel culture does NOT work on international affairs.
