Congratulations on your move!! Maybe do a spot the difference between store bought sweaters and patterns?

SO excited for a review of that bramble ridge superwash merino hank of fluff! i come for any of your content but my personal favorite videos are your performance reviews. i very much like hearing about how a finished item wears several months after completion and how the yarn holds up as well as cost/value analysis for the yarn/pattern. also, congrats on the move!

I don't think the thing with needing to get used to newly finished items is only you. I have that too and I often heard it especially in the sewing community. I think it is because we spend so much time thinking and optimizing the item while working on it, so we have sky high expectations and once we put it on in the beginning things get real in a way. I've gotten used to it and often just put away my new garment for a few days and I always know in the end I love most of my handmade items.

I feel you with the I knit too many garments thing. I've been trying to find knitworthy people in my life to gift sweaters I want to make to. Also that way I'm prepared for any gifting occasion early. I even have a stack of baby blankets hanging around.

I really enjoyed the video where you found patterns similar to Sezane designs and I also really like the Spot the Differences series

I would love to see some new designer spotlight videos if you would enjoy making those! Especially with designers who have some test knits coming out! I would love to test knit more!

Glad you’re back, Melissa!
I also ordered the Malabrigo yarn when buying some Drops yarn on sale. I bought the color Polar moon and this color came out so silvery which I don’t like on my olive tone skin. Also where possible I picked out all of the linen (?) threads since they feel soo scratchy. I used it with a Noro yarn to create a denser fabric in a cardigan. I wouldn’t want this yarn to be next to skin, but maybe you can tolerate it.
If I can make a wish: please make a comparison video for texture sweaters (eg Salty days sweater, Ingrid sweater and ..?)

I tend to "regret" my sewing projects for a while after finishing them. I just chalk it up to my brain being tired of seeing the same thing everyday and putting so much work into it. Then after about a week or so I can pull the item back out and love wearing it.

I love your Paul cardigans. I do the same thing when I finish something. haha! I don't know why. Congratulations on the new house! I'd like to know when Megan sells that brushed merino.. I have an alpaca & mohair intolerance so I'd love something like that. Darcy is adorable! I think I referred to our son as a toddler until kindergarten. All the best, Kimberly

I’m over here hoping and wishing Bramble Ridge brings the brushed merino in as a base because I WANT IT

Wow! That merino yarn looks scrumptious! I need to know where to find it bare! I like to dye my own yarn for projects sometimes, and that looks like it would work for the Clara sweater!

Thanks so much for your episode, good to see you back and congrats on the house! I would be very interested to know if you ended up making the Late Summer Wrap, a pattern from Knitting for Olive. A while ago you mentioned you bought a kit, but hesitated to cast it on, because of the comments about the pattern on Ravelry. I am totally in the same boat, and would love to hear your thoughts on it.

I'm so excited to see drops air in a video (new to garment making and cast on my first ever sweater this week. The novice sweater by petiteknit). I couldn't find a local store with drops air (one of the suggested yarns in my pattern and the only suggested one held single which is what I wanted for my first attempt) or really what I was looking for coloriwize online here in the US at my local Joann's they had a "Cloudpaca" yarn that is also blown and a mix of baby alpaca, merino, and the polyamide. It had the same gauge suggestions as air and same skein length 150m and and weight of 50g. And it's working up to meet gauge in my pattern so far. Just thought I would mention for those looking for a more widely accessible version.
