grrr I have a medical device so I can’t go through an airport scanner but the agents don’t have X-ray vision for some reason so they need to do their job and pat me down!! Why am I singled out?

I get patted down every time even tho I take my pump off because I carry a caprisun in my bag for bad lows. Almost got into an argument with the last agent because I was frustrated for feeling singled out for my DISABILITY (yes, T1 is a DISABILITY even if it is invisible) and the agent said, “you’re not being singled out for your disability, but because you have a caprisun.” I replied, “which I WOULDN’T have if I WASN’T disabled!” That shut her up pretty quick😆👍😏

I don't understand how this is targeted towards you, it's protocol to pat down someone who is unable to go through the scanners without being fully cleared. How would security know if you've got anything else on you aside from the medical device?
