Observability with Fluent Bit and Open Telemetry Workshop | Aravind Putrevu & Aditya Prajapathi
Показать описание
About the talk:
Abstract:
Open Telemetry is the most popular Observability standard that the industry is adopting. Kubernetes is the defacto cloud-native container orchestration system, and it drives more importance to Observe k8s data with a vendor-neutral standard like Open Telemetry and Fluentbit.
By the end of this workshop, you will learn:
What is Open Telemetry?
How and Why it is important to Observability?
OpenTelemetry component architecture
Using a FluentBit agent to ship Open Telemetry Compatible data.
Labs:
Integrating Open Telemetry with Sample App
Configuring Fluentbit to send OTel logs, metrics and traces.
Using a Observability Backend to view and analyze the data
Level of knowledge: Beginner, Intermediate
Speaker Name: Aravind Putrevu, Aditya Prajapathi
Speaker Bio:
Aravind:
Aravind works as Head of Developer Experience at Calyptia (creator and maintainer of the Fluentbit OSS project). Lastly, I worked at Elastic as a Developer Advocate for their India and European Dev Community. As an engineer, I worked on Java, Observability, Streaming & real-time analytics, and Cloud Security.
Aditya:
Aditya started his journey in open source and observability with the OpenTelemetry project as part of the Linux Foundation Mentorship program. Since then, he has worked around observability and is currently working at Calyptia as an open-source engineer to integrate the FluentBit and OpenTelemetry standards.
