I think this is a great idea! Too many couples want to become parents and start a family and are so overjoyed when they conceive... only to find out later that when their baby is born that he/she is plagued with a horrible genetic disease and might not live or have a traumatized life. I think that anything that can help parents have a healthy baby and does not hurt anyone, should be legalized!

I don't see a problem with this. Personally. I wouldn't mind having someone else's mitochondria in my child's DNA if mine was bad! I would prefer to choose the other woman though.
