How to use the start and stop button effectively on your sewing machine

A huge number of sewists don't realise that using the start/stop button effectively can make sewing a whole lot easier.

Very useful for decorative stitches for example as well as with free motion quilting. It's a great way of controlling the variables!
It's also invaluable for anyone with mobility issues.
