What benefits does this offer over just regular buss bars?

in this configuration, the cells at position 3 and 9 are carrying higher current flow as compared to positions 5 and 7 - i would speculate that 9 (the one farthest from the charging terminals) has some cell variations in the nine cells it has to pull from - i would further speculate that 7 is just experiencing some proximity thermal bleed over - considering the load?- again jehu - few folks have the ability to dyno the theoretical high end like this lol - another insane demo man!

I have three questions. Do not misinterpret any ill will on my part in asking. But I am interested in understanding your pack. Question 1: You indicate (2:54) that each row is capable of supplying 50 Amps. You are using a figure of 8 Amps per cell so I'll use that number. Though the voltage of each cell in the row is summed in order to provide the desired output voltage (3.4V times 4 cells) of 13.6 volts, the output current supplied by this row of cells (4 cells in series) is still 8 Amps though at 13.6 volts. The amps are not summed unless the cells are in parallel--in parallel, the current would be increased by a factor of 4 (or 8A times 4 cells) in which case you'd have 32 Amps but the voltage would still be 3.4V. Question 2: Since the cheap cable used for providing current to the AC inverter was getting very hot and drawing excessive current, is it possible that this cable is preventing you from obtaining valid measurements? Question 3: What kind of BMS system do you have in place on this pack? I did not see it described in the video. Thank you.

This sort of thing tells me my ideas about using PCBs as (Ebike Battery) bus bars aren’t completely bogus.

Also, the need to a thermal camera is paramount.

Chief question - did he go for copper thicker than two or three ounces? I’d try to go for more, if possible.
