Welcome to the Heavy Spoilers show, I'm your host Paul and this video we're breaking down House Of The Dragon.

The trailer for Season 2 episode 5 is now out and in this video we're gonna go through it all. As always we'll be talking about the easter eggs and also discussing what happens in the books. Because of this there will be heavy spoilers so if you haven't had a chance to check it out then check out now. This will also talk about the end of episode 4 and yeah...like...I dunno why you'd be here without seeing it but you get the odd numpty. Anyway with that out the way, thank you for clicking this, now let's get into House Of The Dragon.

Now we begin with a very symbolic shot of Alicent and Aemond standing at the red keep. This is of course where the kingdom is ruled from and these two figures are now in charge.

Larys said to Aegon earlier in the season that there were rumours the pair were gonna take over and this has now come to pass. In the show, Aemond was clearly about to off his brother and we saw at the coronation how he looked at him with envy. Guy also didn't really care about burning him either and I wonder if they'll build into his character that he's been seeking power on purpose.

This is perfectly shown to us at 35 seconds where we catch him staring at the throne.

There is 100% no question, aemond tried his best to kill aegon with that dragonfire, he is a seasoned dragon rider and the Flames didn't touch rhaenys or meleys, he knew exactly what he was doing

I KNOW the dragons aren’t real, but I hated seeing them hurt and killed. Viserion’s death in GOT was hard for me to watch. And I know that there will be more dragons dying to the point of their extinction and I kind of hate it.

The Targaryens are a threat to their own house. How on earth do you parade the head of a dead dragon on the streets of kingslanding? You're basically letting the people know that dragons aren't as unkillable as they thought. That is most likely going to motivate them to storm the dragonpit.

god with the way they animated the emotion of the dragons the storming of the dragonpit is gonna be pulling on our heartstrings

Alicent is on the way to being more hated than Cersei. Even thought I didn’t care for Aegon, I did feel his character arc was changing and felt bad that Aemond did what he did. Poor Sunfyre….I will always be sad about Meleys and Rhaenys because I knew it was coming and they were great on screen and on the page too.

Tbh Aegon flying out might seem dumb but literally nobody expected Meleys and Rhaenys to show up expect Criston and Aemond. Aegon only knew about Moondancer and Baela patrolling the area, which would've probably meant no sweat for Sunfyre. And yes, seeing Meleys and not retreating was actually foolish, but at least brave and daring.
