1:50 My thoughts exactly! On the surface the ode of resurrection might seem to some like a get out of jail free card that downplays the darker aspects of the war, but it honestly gave me chills. Just the thought of an entire nation of people fighting against an overwhelmingly monstrous opponent while continuously being cut down only to get back up and keep fighting was so impactful to me I literally teared up while fighting. Especially when it's coupled with the beautiful and powerful music and all the characters shouting "For Natlan"! Absolute peak story moment.

P.S. if you pay attention to the battle cut scenes you can actually see the Natlan NPCs getting back up after being struck down while fighting.

14:51 Dainsleif was not subject to standard rankings. As captain of the royal guard, he held a similar amount of responsibity compared to what the generals did. And he was a more unique case, as he was essentially the abyss twin (the prince or princess)’s bodyguard. Capitano does not refer to Dain with any honorifics, so he was not below Dain’s level of respect in Khaenriah. And it makes sense that they wouldn’t have had a personal relationship, as they were people in charge of different sections of Khaenriah’s military forces. They would have known each other only in passing.

The thing with Capitano dying is very interesting: what will be the rule that takes affect on him? The rule of death which was designed by a Shade of the Primordial One or the Curse of Immortality which is said to take affect on a higher level of reality than the person suffering from it?
Could it be that when Capitano inevitibly takes the hit for Mavuika the rule of death will cancel out the curse of Immortality, so that the Captain won‘t die but is freed from the curse? That way (and maybe with a little help from Dottore) he might be able to live his life and bring it to a normal end…

I find it interesting the way you go with Renova. From what i'm seeing, at least 3 of the 4 shades are proven disloyal to the heavenly principles. The shade of time became an object of worship in two different nations, including the thousand winds of Monstadt. And Venti describes himself as one of the thousand winds, in so almost confirming himself a fragment of the shade of time. The shade of life granted an archon the power to create new humans. And the shade of death admitted to granting power to a mortal she had no right to. It's almost like the shades are trying to fight the heavenly principles without exposing that they are.

12:51 This is False. Perinheri is the abyss twin. Not Capitano. And it was barely more than 500 years ago, not thousands of years ago. We know this for a fact because the chinese version of the game has Perinheri’s gender set to be the opposite of the Traveler’s. Perinheri in the book becomes female if your traveler is male. And the only character in the game with a gender dependent on the traveler’s is the abyss twin. Thus, Perinheri is the abyss twin.

OMG in the 5.1 promo image (0:35), you can see the cracks appearing around Mauvika's symbol... or it could also be an impact mark. It's in the same shape as her symbol but it isnt very detailed

More and more, I’m starting to wonder if “the cryo archon “ that the fatui follow is actually the cryo sovereign. A year ago, this idea would have sounded crazy. But now?

Listen, Capitano can't die because hoyo knows how big his fandom is (even bigger than Mavuika) and they will definitely sell him. And I have leaks supporting that because he is someone big who is neccesary for Tsaritsa to continue her plan unlike signora who was just a Pawn.

I think the gnosis could still be key to the plan. The thing to keep in mind is what the Fatui is about: To embrace the virtue of folly.
To give free reign and risk a conflict of interest ruining the plan would be foolish, that sounds completely fitting and it might be itself key to the plan.

10:40 this is incorrect. Capitano’s rank was GENERAL, not commander. That’s what the chinese word used by Guthred more accurately translates to. Anfortas (the Albrecht clan member described in Perinheri) was leader of HALF of Khaenriah’s knights. The only knight order we know that was wiped out in Sumeru were the swan knights. Which were a small elite force. Not the whole army. Which consisted of many other knights. And we know other Khaenrian knights survived because of both the phlogiston-encased knights under Natlan were under Capitano.

The only known khaenrian general was Anfortas. And we KNOW Anfortas escaped the sumeru expedition alive because he was the one to kill the traitorous commander named Hadura. And of course there would be no indication of him losing an eye. He wears a full face mask.

Neither Kaeya nor Beidou show any signs of reduced vision despite both wearing eyepatches. So it makes no sense to assume that Capitano/Anfortas would favor one side when none of the other eyepatch characters do that.

Capitano also personally blames himself for the failure to save Khaenriah. He says “‘I’ couldn’t save Khaenriah.” Not ‘WE’ couldn’t save Khaenriah. The only Khaenrian general with the power and authority to have all of Khaenriah as his responsibility was Anfortas. And yes, he’s from the same clan as Kaeya and Caribert. But they’re probably not closely related. Clans are massive multi-family structures with common roots, not necessarily direct descendants or immediate blood relatives.

It wouldn’t make much sense for him to place the burden of the entire country of Khaenriah on himself if he was just some random platoon commander. I still 100% believe he’s Anfortas.

This was definitely my fav quest ever in Genshin and one of my fav quests ever in any game. The music definitely just made the whole thing come together, I dont think it would have been nearly as powerful without it. Also your sound quality with the new mic was great!
