they're looking at you that way not because you're trans, but because you're a foreign woman speaking in another language, in clothing and makeup that's seen as more sensual (for the country you're in) and holding and talking to a camera as you walk around.

They cant tell if you're trans of not, they're staring because a) You're foreign b) You're wearing revealing clothing and most people cover up there c) You're carrying a camera around and d) You're wearing more makeup than anyone in India is used to seeing on a person unless that person is getting married.

I get it can be scary going somewhere when you know you're different, and it might be a problem. But its important to understand that its like this for anyone whos different. Try bringing an African American person with dreads to China. It's quite fascinating.

*dresses like club night in the states in culturally modest country*
*& is shocked people stare*
Sis, transgendered people have been in India's history since before anybody reading this comment existed. Respect the culture of where you visit and dress codes. I'd hate to generalize, but it's always North Americans and you make us all look bad.

There'll always be some staring eyes wherever you go in India. No matter if you're an Indian or foreigner, transgender or not, they'll always stare. Being an Indian girl, I face this on a daily but still get super uncomfortable. I can imagine how a foreigner would feel.

They are NOT staring at you because you're trans. I am indian myself, living in Australia, and they will stare at anyone who looks foreign, or slightly different to what they're used to - this is in regards to different styles of hair, makeup and clothing. You'll find that this is the case all across the middle east as well as some asian countries. There is a large transgender community in india. They would not stare at those individuals, in fact they could care less. They're staring at you because you're different to what they normally see, just as they do when my family and I go back to visit.

that pretty much how indian reacts to any girl not just because you're trans.

Did she say in this video “oh my gosh they are staring because I’m trans.” All these comments...the video isn’t titled “Transgender in India Where Everyone Stares At Me”. I’m sure she’s aware people aren’t looking at her because she’s trans but because she’s foreign, holding a camera and talking to herself, and because she’s beautiful.

I'm Indian and I agree with people that say Indian men are a bit creepy and weird. I have travelled to other countries but I felt uncomfortable in India even though it's where I'm from. No offence....

It's not because you are trans, they probably don't even no you are trans . It's because you are vlogging and a foreigner. Also these people are themselves tourist from other states mostly rural areas who are not used to seeing a foreigner with a little skimpy clothes

Trust me on. This. I can guarantee you. Most of them do not even knw you're trans. Because you don't look. You just look so good. And you look. An outsider. And you're vloging. The outfit and all. So that's why they're staring you.

Careful sis, dressing in a crop top and more “sexy” over there isn’t something I would recommend doing in India. I’m glad you had people with you but I don’t think any woman should dress too “sexy” when by themselves in a country that is more conservative and still backwards in their thoughts and not as progressive as America or Canada where you’re from.

"STARING" originated in India.

In India girls do not dress showing much of the skin, so you were wearing crop top and that's why they stare.. nothing else, in India we have respect to y'all, we even have movies encouraging transgenders. ♥️ most of the people ask about wearing saree and why don't guys stare at them.... Come on guys they are used to it...this is something different it's westernised clothes and look around in the video no one else is same as her while others are having similar looks....she is unique up there and she's beautiful..

I know in India, if people see any unusual things, which they are not used to see.. They will stare. Not only boys but also girls will stare.. In India 95% girls don't use makeup in daily basis.. Only occasionally they wear.. If u dress differently and wear heavy makeup.. Everyone stares here.. It's not big matter. BecoZ in western countries, if u r a foreigner and black they will not stare you in public places.. But will bully you in school, college, universities.. Crazy huh??
