Radio Access Network Introduction

A Radio Access Network (RAN) is a critical component of mobile telecommunications systems.
It consists of radio transceivers, base stations, and other necessary equipment that connect mobile devices to the core network and, ultimately, to the Internet.
The RAN is responsible for managing radio communications between the user equipment (like smartphones and tablets) and the core network.
