Just the premise of a cross continental horse race is exciting. The idea of the holy corpse is also so amazing, it doesn't feel like some benign macguffin, but like something monumental. When you have a basis this solid and add an amazing cast of characters and dropdead gorgeous art, yeah of course you're gonna have something special on your hands
