Oh my gosh. I'm so glad I found this. You read my mind. I didn't think there was anyone else. Thank you. I'm so sorry.

Sending you a loving hug from Australia 💚 - we passed our overshoot day in March 😔
Acceptance is tough, the grief is real.
I have children your age and as far as I know they are unaware of how dire it is and I don't have the courage to tell them. 😭
I live with a broken heart for all living beings on this planet.
I know it's hard but try to find something to enjoy in each passing day while you still can.
With love, Ginny xo

I feel your pain. All that makes life worth living will be destroyed due to human stupidity and selfishness. All those innocent animals, ecosystems, and our beautiful earth will be gone. No god will step in to save us like many believe. We are on our own like we have always been. We failed to live in harmony with nature and we are paying our price for it. And the most ironic part is that the ones suffering from the effects are the least responsible for the devastation. The ones dying will be innocent children, mothers, fathers, and people that are doomed for simply being born into a world as awful as this. Im 20 years old, I wanted to be a biologist and study conservation and plant biology. Now what do I do? Waste the next 10 years of my life working for a lost cause? What's the point anymore? My entire life was supposed to be dedicated to reversing the damage dealt to our wonderful Gaian mother. Its too late. But I do still see beauty. I see this as a lesson of impermanence. Life itself is unsatisfactory and filled with suffering. At least the destruction of humanity will possibly usher in a new species in the future that will take care of the Earth. All we can do now is enjoy our time with our loved ones and help any organism that needs affection and support. In my view, nothing has really changed. In fact I see death as not being the depressing part, I find it liberating. The suffering humanity inflicts on living beings will happily be coming to an end. Life will not continue on here, or it will, but either way there is an infinite universe and infinite time for new Earth's to emerge out of the primordial dust. And humanity's tyranny over all the innocent beings on this planet will finally come to a close. Shanti.

I experiment with growing my own plants. If food supply ceases to exist, at least I can count on my own land. I’m sure there’s something that grows well even during oncoming temperature rise!
If we’re past the tipping point — let’s brace for impact. Will to live prevails. Still a lot of time to get ready for major changes...

My boomer generation did this to your generation, and I am terribly sorry. Live your life as best you can, and warn your cohort that having children now will only increase the number of humans who will suffer and die early deaths.

No one gets out of here alive, nothing new here. Live your best life. Be compassionate. As to the BOE, it is a serous event, but we really don't know the implications. As the heat goes into the ocean more clouds will form. Clouds can trap heat but can also reflect heat. Our models just can't predict the results of this. It is just one of many, many feedbacks that are beyond our control as individuals. It is soul destroying to see the mess humans are doing to this beautiful planet, I know . Just try to live your best life and appreciate the beauty that is around you, as best you can. 😎

Techofixes have their limits. Mankind's continuing of production of petroleum at 100 million barrels or so per day would toward the end of the 21st Century produce enough additional CO2 to severely threaten various cities in China and India with death heat waves. The technofix would be to build fleets numbering tens of thousands of airships capable of flight in high altitudes that are technically referred to as "near space", in order to shade threatened cities from the Sun. As of 2020, China has constructed two such airships for experimental reasons. Beyond the technofix of building giant fleets of high altitude airships in order to be able to shade cities threatened with death heat waves, there are no other technofixes that I know of. As such, if mankind wishes to survive global warming, it would be wise for people to greatly reduce carbon footprint before the end of the 21st Century.

To sum up, technofixes exist for lower levels of global warming, but mankind must become wiser within the current 21st Century, because technifixes can not protect mankind from severe levels of global warming.

You are overthinking about it.. you are right but we need to live our lifes and see what happens and adapt as much as possible. We have no alternatives do we?

This was prophesied by the Hopi- "Red Kachina/Blue Kachina"

Right!! We are living the book of Revelations and Genesis. If we don't change our ways, we will get taken out. There will be a few survivors- Like that movie, "the Knowing"
Keep posting!
