Love this. Food waste is a huge problem and not just among the wealthier folks, so many people do it without even thinking about it.

Food waste isn't a problem in a sense of hazard - it's rotting and creating soil, it's only a problem of unfair economic distribution when certain regions get shortage and famine. You really don't want to eat spoilt food because it pretty much leads to illnesses and death, doesn't matter if you care about environment. But hazards are permanent and in most case avoidable, that's why it makes sense to focus on that

Food waste in America is worse comparing to many countries I’ve visited. It’s so sad there are so many homeless people starving everyday. Then there are supermarkets dumping tons and tons of food in dumpsters.

Raise awareness at a personal level and make an action plan at home, schools, universities, hospitals, supermarkets, restaurants, agriculture, etc....
