Very late to the party but streaming as the spotter on discord gives the Gunners something nice to look at for their work.

Coming from a 0341 mortarman. This game is very accuracy. Within a mortar squad. There are the Ammo man, A-Gunner, Gunner, Squad Leader, Plt Sgt.The Gunline is the people who shoot the mortars T The Forward Direction Center(FDC) there is the plotter, check plotter and FDC Chief. They Find the deflection and elevation for the mortars to shoot off of. The Forward Observer(FO) finds the target on the map and tells us the direction of where to shoot.

Give each tube their own fire team. If you have an FO give them one too

So if you should only use mortars during certain times, should you create the mortar squad in the middle of a game when its decided that they're needed, instead of at the start of a round?

Hey man nice video. One question: How are you placing those observe markers so quickly? I usually do the default (hold T and click) or use the map and right click. Would love to know some of these tricks as an SL to make things easier for myself.
